The wonderful lady responsible for made in roath's happenings!
What event are you most looking forward to/have enjoyed so far?

I took part in a rehearsal for the Women's Work Songs event in Milgi on Saturday, and it was amazing. There were 7 of us there, and the power of our voices was really moving. We're expecting lots more at the actual event so it should be something pretty special.

How did you get involved with Made in Roath?

I was introduced to Helen by Becca on my second day in Cardiff (I moved here in January) as was so taken with her passion for the festival that I had to be involved. I've always enjoyed working with grass roots art organisations, and the opportunities madeinroath provides to artists are just really great.

Made in Roath must be a lot of work to organise – what is it that inspires you to keep going?

Red wine and crisps. Lots of crisps.

What do you think it is about Made in Roath, which makes it so distinctive a festival as it is?

It's hyper-local, community based work with a real longevity. Helen and Gail have worked so hard to get it to the point where people really recognise it, and love taking part. It's a real muddle of art and community, community and art.

What is your favourite Made in Roath memory?

Actually it's from madeinRhod in spring this year, all the artists sitting and eating together once the show had been installed. madeinroath has a real talent for bringing people together.

Tell us a secret about Roath.

There are fairies in the lake, but you can only see them at dusk, after a couple of gin and tonics
