Happenings, occurrences, events, incidents, scenes, affairs, phenomenons, episodes, adventures, experiences, occasions, actions, interventions, activities, developments, eventualities …. things. All these and more will be taking place during Made in Roath 2016 under the category of Happenings.
Taking place all over Roath, Happenings celebrate the very neighbourhood in which we live. Occurring in a variety of places all around Roath which include the streets, empty shops, public spaces. front gardens, back gardens, homes, businesses and places that have no name at all (Well no official name, not a name which we can mention anyway but I’m sure you know of the places that we speak…yes those places, the non spaces) Anyway the Happening category is one of the funnest and most wide ranging in the Made in Roath program, including many brand new and specially commissioned projects that invite artists, both local and from around the UK to make and respond to site specific areas and to explore new elements and ideas in their work in the community of Roath. Coordinated by Gail Howard and Clare Charles this by concept alone promises to be an exciting and interesting aspect to the 2016 festival.
